WHAT WE DO

Inclusion is at the heart of how we care for and teach our children at Knowleswood. Every pupil, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or ability is entitled to the same experiences, learning and success. We strive to achieve a fully inclusive and nurturing environment in which children feel safe, happy and ready to learn. Our aim at Knowleswood is that every child feels that they belong here and can be themselves.

INCLUSIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING

All children receive appropriately tailored teaching and learning experiences that aim to develop them as confident learners who enjoy a challenge and feel safe in the knowledge that they will always be supported by the staff and their peers. Sometimes, including children in their learning means they need some intervention work or specialist support, in order to help them feel confident with their own abilities. Any additional provision to support the learning, behaviour or personal well-being of children is planned, carried out and monitored carefully and sensitively.
