WELCOME TO THE YEAR 6 HOMEPAGE

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN DOING?

As part of our Mission Impossible topic, we have learnt about the Roman Invasion of Britain. We began our topic with a Roman Day with Phil Lowd, learning about aquaducts and catapults. We have read Julius Caesar and learnt about the Roman legionaries. We have learnt about Boudicca's revolt against the Romans and written in response to our learning. We have composed play scripts of gladiator stories and we have written letters based on our reading. In science, we have focused on the Roman baths and have carried out observations with reversible and irreversible changes. We ended this part of the unit with a Roman banquet.

In the second half of the term, we are learning about spies,  their impossible missions, codes and healthy bodies.

LEARNING PLATFORM

At Knowleswood Primary School each child has access to their own 'Learning Platform' and class page for their class. This is a fantastic resource for the children to learn all about blogging, E-Safety, emailing and all links to the curriculum they are learning about.
